ISSUE 5 ARCHIVE - SUSSEX SCUBA BEACH AND UNDERWATER CLEANUPNewhaven beach in Sussex gets a thorough clean up organised by Sussex Scuba Dive Club from East Grinstead. Over 35 sacks of rubbish were collected as part of the worldwide initiative Project AWARE. Rubbish included: plastic bottles from Germany, Italy, Spain and Egypt; several shoes; a huge oil drum and enough planks of wood for a sizeable bonfire. A successful day despite the wind and rain and in true British style the barbeque was enjoyed as planned. |
