COVER PHOTO COMPETITION

SEE YOUR IMAGE ON THE FRONT COVER OF TANKED UP ISSUE 24

  • Do you revel in the capture of photons?
  • Have you taken possession of photons at subaquatic depths of several fathoms?
  • Would you delight in the rendition of these photonic impressions on the frontispiece of Messrs L&M Diving-Chambers' celebrated Tanked Up Magazine?
  • Have you committed any major crimes recently you'd like to confess to?

If your answer to the first three questions above is "Yes", then this is your chance to get your artwork on the cover of issue 24.

If your answer to the fourth question is "Yes", you should contact your local police station and seek legal representation. It's really not relevant to this competition so I don't know why you mentioned it.

Issue 24 is due out at the beginning of 2018 and if there is one word that could be used to describe the denizens of Royal Tanked Upcester it's lazy. Therefore we're opening up this competition to give YOU the opportunity to have a winning underwater picture appear on the front cover. Runners-up will see their photos published inside the mag, giving everyone a chance to flaunt their achievements to family and friends and remind their loved ones of who exactly is superior in this relationship. You, that's who.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Take a photo of something watery
  2. Email it to
  3. Exhibit signs of extreme stress and nervous exhaustion until January 10th when you find out whether you've won or not

Please email entries to: with the subject line "Tanked Up Cover Photo Competition".

Include your name, age (are you under 18?), dive club and certifying agency.

Terms and Conditions are on this really boring page.

The benchmark is Rob's outstanding effort below which was very close to winning not just best underwater photograph of 2017, but also best photograph ever taken in any environment in the entirety of human history.
